Ablution Centers/Wadu Khana
In Bangladesh, especially in rural areas, access to adequate washroom and refreshing facilities is often limited. This lack of infrastructure poses challenges, particularly in a predominantly Muslim country where individuals require facilities for ablution (wudu) several times a day for prayer.
Bicharan Kallyan Sangstha has taken a proactive approach to address this issue by constructing 235 ablution centers in underserved areas where such facilities are scarce. These centers serve as essential resources for community members, especially those who are underprivileged and face significant barriers to accessing proper sanitation.
Through this initiative, Bicharan has positively impacted the lives of approximately 32,900 individuals across 235 communities, ensuring that people have the necessary facilities to maintain their hygiene and perform religious practices with dignity. By providing these essential services, Bicharan not only alleviates daily challenges but also promotes public health and well-being within these communities.
This project highlights Bicharan’s commitment to addressing critical infrastructure needs and supporting the holistic development of rural and underserved populations.
