Disaster Resilience and Emergency Response Program
Bangladesh has faced unprecedented flooding in recent years, with severe conditions recorded across various regions, including the historic flash floods in Sylhet and extreme weather events in Chittagong, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna & Barisal. In response, Bicharan Kallyan Sangstha launched its Disaster Resilience and Emergency Flood Response Program to provide critical support to affected communities. This initiative focuses on delivering timely assistance and strengthening resilience in flood-prone areas through long-term strategies addressing climate change challenges.
Additionally, Bicharan has been actively supporting Rohingya refugees since 2021, providing essential aid such as food, medicine, emergency shelter, and household items. This commitment underscores Bicharan’s broader mission to assist vulnerable populations, ensuring they receive the necessary resources to survive and rebuild their lives. Collaborating with local and international partners, Bicharan aims to expand its impact, contributing to the long-term stability and security of the Rohingya community. To date, Bicharan has supported 160,000 individuals through this program.
