Food Packs Distribution
Global conflicts, economic instability, and natural disasters have contributed to a sharp rise in food prices, making it increasingly difficult for underprivileged communities to access essential nutrition. Floods, supply chain disruptions, and other crises have exacerbated this issue, pushing basic food items beyond the reach of many. In response to this urgent need, Bicharan Kallyan Sangstha launched its Food Subsidy & Food Security Program, designed to support vulnerable individuals struggling to meet their dietary requirements.
Each food pack contains essential items to ensure balanced nutrition, including:
Rice: 25 kg, Oil: 2 kg, Potatoes: 5 kg, Onions: 5 kg, Sugar: 2 kg, Flour: 5 kg, Noodles: 5 packs, Tang Drink Powder: 500 gm, Chickpeas: 2 kg, Peanuts: 1 kg, Milk Powder: 400 gm, Raisins: 100 gm, Chili Powder: 200 gm, Turmeric Powder: 200 gm, Coriander Powder: 100 gm, Garlic: 0.5 kg
These food packs are distributed among the most vulnerable groups, including those living in extreme poverty, individuals with disabilities, widowed women, and elderly citizens. To date, this initiative has benefited 300,000 individuals, helping to ensure food security and alleviate hunger in affected communities. Through this program, Bicharan is not only addressing immediate nutritional needs but also contributing to the long-term health and well-being of those who need it most.
