Live Stock Distribution Initiative
Bangladesh, with 12% of its GDP coming from agriculture, sees 65% of its rural population involved in agricultural activities. However, due to climate change and the increasing number of climate refugees, many farmers have become landless and are forced to live on khas land (government-owned land). These displaced farmers often struggle to secure a stable livelihood.
In response to this, Bicharan Kallyan Sangstha launched a Livestock Distribution Program to support these vulnerable communities. The initiative distributed 50 cows and goats to 50 small communities, directly transforming the lives of 250 individuals. By providing livestock, Bicharan not only offers a sustainable source of income but also fosters long-term economic independence for these families. This initiative helps create resilience against the hardships caused by environmental and socio-economic challenges.
