Bicharan Kallyan Sangstha is dedicated to advocating for the protection and empowerment of individuals, particularly in addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and promoting gender mainstreaming. As part of our Advocacy Program, we implement initiatives aimed at fostering awareness, strengthening social bonds, and integrating gender sensitivity into all program designs and operations.

A cornerstone of this effort is the Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy. Central to Bicharan’s operations, this policy ensures that every individual has the right to live free from sexual exploitation and abuse. The PSEA policy applies to all Bicharan personnel, both national and international, and is grounded in our “Inclusive and For All” (IFA) approach. This approach emphasizes that safeguarding is a shared responsibility, with Bicharan’s Code of Conduct setting comprehensive guidelines for ethical behavior and the prevention of exploitation and abuse. These standards apply to all associated with Bicharan, reinforcing accountability at every level.

In addition to promoting the PSEA policy, Bicharan actively advances gender mainstreaming through various awareness programs and strategic program implementation. These efforts aim to integrate gender perspectives into all facets of organizational planning, ensuring equitable participation and benefits for all.

To date, Bicharan has reached 45,870 individuals through its advocacy programs on GBV prevention and gender mainstreaming, making significant strides toward a safer, more inclusive society.
