Road Construction
In Bangladesh’s coastal regions, road infrastructure plays a crucial role in sustaining the livelihoods of local communities. Each year, the inhabitants face severe challenges due to river erosion, waterlogging, and dam destruction caused by flash floods and other natural calamities. These recurring issues often force communities to rebuild roads to maintain access to essential services such as education, healthcare, and commerce.
Recognizing this ongoing struggle, Bicharan Kallyan Sangstha has undertaken efforts to support the construction of durable roads that provide reliable connectivity in these vulnerable regions. To date, Bicharan has successfully constructed two roads, benefitting approximately 1,850 people. These roads offer a more stable and secure passage for daily life, improving access to vital services and fostering a more resilient and sustainable community infrastructure.
By addressing these critical infrastructure needs, Bicharan is helping coastal communities overcome the recurring disruptions caused by environmental factors, ultimately improving their quality of life and supporting their long-term development.
