Van & Rickshaw Distribution Initiative

In Bangladesh, rickshaws and vans are essential modes of transport, particularly for those who are economically disadvantaged. Unlike other businesses, operating rickshaws and vans does not require payment of income tax or formal registration, making it an accessible livelihood option for the poor.

To support these individuals, Bicharan Kallyan Sangstha has distributed 79 rickshaws and 41 vans to extremely impoverished families. This initiative aims to empower these individuals by providing them with a means of income generation. To ensure the sustainability of this program, Bicharan conducts regular checks to prevent the sale of the vehicles, safeguarding the beneficiaries’ livelihood.

As a result of this initiative, 1,200 individuals have benefited, gaining not only economic stability but also the ability to contribute to their families and communities. Bicharan remains committed to enhancing the lives of the most vulnerable by providing them with the tools necessary for self-sufficiency.
